About Us
CWILL (pronounced “quill”) is a leading eCommerce SaaS company trusted by 30,000+ Shopify & DTC brands worldwide. Our post-purchase and retention suite of tools — including order tracking, returns, shipping protection, reviews, loyalty, referrals, and AI-powered growth tools — helps merchants reduce support costs, recover revenue, and turn one-time buyers into loyal customers.
The Role
We are hiring our first US Brand & Visual Design Lead, a founding role responsible for defining and shipping CWILL’s entire visual identity — from the way our website welcomes a merchant, to the way millions of shoppers experience our widgets inside Shopify stores.
In this role, you will own different interconnected layers of our brand, some examples:
- Website visual system — our primary marketing surface, how merchants first encounter CWILL
- Consumer-facing widgets — the visual layer of our order tracking pages, returns portals, reviews, and loyalty surfaces that millions of shoppers interact with every day
- Overall brand identity system — the voice, color, typography, and visual direction that unifies our entire platform
- Pitch decks, trade show materials, and partner-facing assets
This is a greenfield 0 → 1 opportunity: no existing US design team, and no constraints on what the function can become. You’ll work directly with our COO, hold a seat at the strategic planning table, and shape not only our visual language today — but the direction of our brand for years to come.
What We’re Looking For
- A portfolio that makes us stop scrolling — strong visual craft across web, product UI, and brand systems
- Experience designing consumer-facing components (widgets, embedded UIs, or anything that lives inside someone else’s product)
- Comfortable working in Figma and shipping designs that actually get built
- 3+ years in Brand, Visual, or Marketing Design (B2B SaaS or DTC ecommerce preferred)
- Fluency across brand + digital design — websites, widgets, illustration, typography
- Comfort with 0 → 1 ambiguity
Nice-to-haves:
- Exposure to AI-native product experiences
- Direct experience in the Shopify ecosystem (built apps, worked at Shopify, Klaviyo, Yotpo, Loop, Narvar, AfterShip, etc.)
- Experience building or leading a design team (IC → Manager transition)
- Background across both post-purchase and retention domains
